About us
The Chinese Nutrition Society (CNS), founded in 1945, is a multi-disciplinary professional organization dedicated to research and the application of the best nutrition practices for the promotion of human well-being and the prevention of diseases. Currently, CNS has over 18,000 members in 31regional societies across China including academics, nutritionists, clinicians and dietitians, health workers, educators and students. 

There are eleven specialized committees: Public Nutrition, Maternal and Pediatric Nutrition, Elderly Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Special Nutrition, Trace Element Nutrition, Nutrition and Functional Food, Food For Special Medical Purpose, Basic Nutrition Research, Dietetics and Chronic Disease Prevention, Nutrition and Translational Medicine.

The headquarter of CNS is located in Beijing, including seven departments: General Office, Academic and Funding Management, Scientific and Technical Service, Public Information and Media, Training and Education, Human Resources and Membership Development, and Finance Department.

To bring researchers and scientific workers together in the advances of educational and nutritional sciences
To further develop in nutrition science and technology with the food industry and dietary practices
To support the dissemination and application of nutrition knowledge to improve public health and clinical practices
To promote nutritional policies and increase professionalism
